NCRI – In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV on Saturday, General Wafiq Al-Samarai, former Security Affairs Advisor to the Iraqi President, identified Iran as the main perpetrator of the recent explosions in Baghdad that left many dead and wounded and caused major damages.<\/p>\n
He said: “Based on my assessments, the main intervention in Iraq is the intervention by the Iranian regime. Unfortunately, many Ieaqi officials refrain from clearly stating this fact. Most of the weapons confiscated in Iraq are Iranian made and armed groups are trained in Iran, but I don’t know why the officials refrain from saying so.”<\/p>\n
In regards to the possibility of this attack being perpetrated by Al-Qaida, he said: For the most part, Al-Qaida is based in Iran and its leaders are openly living in Iran. He said: “There are substantiated reports that many of the Al-Qaida operatives are linked to Iran’s Qods Corp.”<\/p>\n
He added: “What Iran does in Iraq is carried out by Quds Force; but when The U.S. said they didn’t know whether or not the attacks were with the knowledge of the high leadership, they simply had their heads burried in snow to avoid seeing the reality. The Quds Force is the strong arm of the Iranian regime’s leader.”<\/p>\n
Al-Jazeera: The Iraqi Foreign Minister said that there were colaborations between the perpetrators of the bloody Wednesday explosions and the security officials. Is the Iraqi security machinery the arm of a foreign party which rules over Iraq from the outside?<\/p>\n
Al-Samarai: I have repeatedly said that this situation could not have come forth, had it not been for dangerous infiltration of the security bodies. The Iraqi government should re-assess the security machinery very well and reconsider its structure, because it has been infiltrated. The Iranian regime has major influence in the securoty machinery as it, unfortunately, has in other places in Iraq.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
