NCRI – A member of the Iranian regime’s Majlis (Parliament) has warned that the clerical regime is grappling with the “final opportunities to regain the trust of the people,” and that “we must not lose” such opportunities.<\/p>\n
The state-run ILNA news agency quoted Sirous Sazdar on May 11 as saying, “I am cautioning that we must not lose the final opportunities to repair and regain the trust of the people … If that happens [i.e. opportunities are lost], then we have given free reign to those who … seek to eradicate the very foundations of the country and the establishment.”<\/p>\n
The regime’s Majlis deputy voiced anxiety over the bleak fate of the clerical dictatorship, saying, “Today, we are at the most significant crossroads for the Islamic Republic over the past thirty years.”<\/p>\n
He warned about the consequences of what he called “protests to the status quo” as well as lack of trust towards the clerical rule, and added: This trend is on a frightening upward spiral.<\/p>\n
Sazdar also pointed to the destructive increase in poverty and drug addiction under clerical rule in Iran and asked, “Who should be responsible for the bare dinner tables of the people, the cancerous spread of drug addiction, diminishing moral values, and spread of lying, deceit and mistrust?”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
