NCRI – A political prisoner launched a hunger strike on Wednesday in protest to the medieval prison conditions and inhumane restrictions imposed in the Iranian regime’s prisons, and a regular prisoner has died after being held in solitary confinement for two years.<\/p>\n
According to obtained reports, Arjang Davoudi, who is being held at Ward 3 of Karaj’s Gohardasht prison, the prison’s warden, Ali Haj Kazem, has placed Mr. Davoudi in intolerable conditions in solitary confinement and deprived him of medical treatment.<\/p>\n
One of Mr. Davoudi’s fingers has been broken for the past three months and is in a bad condition. The clerical regime’s agents have also cut off Mr. Davoudi’s telephone contact with his family. Hassan Zare Dehnavi, a torturer at the Kahrizak death camp, has sold Mr. Davoudi’s house, which was locked, to other regime agents, putting his wife in difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n
Separately, the clerical regime murdered a regular prisoner at the same prison in Gohardasht for helping detainees of the nationwide uprising. The prisoner, who challenged his interrogators, was placed in solitary confinement for two years in intolerable conditions and eventually died on June 20. The unidentified prisoner kept protesting against the policies of the inhumane regime, making the regime’s torturers desperate.
