Mr. Saremi’s son is a resident of Camp Ashraf, where 3,400 PMOI members currently reside.<\/p>\n

In the name of God,<\/p>\n
During its 45 years of persistent and untiring struggle to achieve democracy, freedom, justice, and progress and to uproot poverty and illiteracy, the PMOI has found a place in the hearts of the suppressed and freedom-seeking people of Iran.<\/p>\n
Although in this unequal battle, they have faced off with a tyranny that is armed to the teeth, in view of the fact that it is only humans who determine their final destiny and not weapons, we will be triumphant.<\/p>\n
Every fiber of my country’s being is looking for an answer that only lies in your hands.<\/p>\n
Charlatans and deceitful beings did their utmost to take you away from us. But, we are holding on to a mountain that no storm can disturb.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ali Saremi 62 year old is currently held at Gohardasht Prison in the Tehran suburb of Karaj and has a son in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, home to more than 3,400 members of the Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK). Since the inception of the mullahs’ regime in 1979, Mr. Saremi has been imprisoned four times on charges of supporting the PMOI. He has spent 23 years of his life in prison during the Shah’s rule and the clerical regime. He was last arrested in August 2007 for participating at a memorial ceremony for the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran. In December 2009, after spending two and a half years in legal limbo, he was abruptly sentenced to two years in prison and execution without facing a fair trial. The clerical regime is deeply vengeful toward the relentless struggle of Saremi.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
