NCRI – A leader within the Iraqi political bloc that won the March parliamentary \u200eelections has said in an interview that recent acts of aggression by Prime Minister Nouri \u200eal-Maliki against Iranian opposition activists in Camp Ashraf prove his allegiance to the \u200eIranian regime.<\/p>\n

In an interview with al-Hurra TV, Dr. Saleh Mutlak of the Iraqiya list, said, \u201cA day \u200ebefore his visit to Iran, on the orders of the Iranian regime, Maliki clearly showed his \u200eallegiance and loyalty to the Iranian regime by being offensive, aggressive and abusive \u200etowards the residents of Ashraf, and injured 18 of the residents in the process.\u201d\u200e
\u200e\u201cIs it not clear that what is happening against Ashraf is directed by the Iranian regime\u2019s \u200eintelligence ministry?\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
Dr. Mutlak added, \u201cIs it not clear that all the loudspeakers that are harassing and \u200edisturbing the residents day and night are in reality installed there based on the will and \u200edecisions of the Iranian regime?\u201d\u200e<\/p>\n
More than 70 powerful loudspeakers have been installed around Camp Ashraf, where \u200e\u200e3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran \u200e\u200e(PMOI\/MEK) reside, as part of the Iranian regime\u2019s campaign of psychological \u200etorture \u200eagainst Ashraf residents. The flow of food, fuel and other necessities has also been \u200eseverely restricted into Ashraf.\u200e<\/p>\n
In his interview, Dr. Mutlak asked, \u201cIs it not clear that the siege on Ashraf and preventing \u200ethe entry of basic necessities and food occurs on the orders of the Iranian regime?\u201d\u200e
He called on the US government to protect the residents of Ashraf, saying that the US \u200egovernment expressed commitment in exchange for a voluntary disarmament of the \u200eresidents to protect them. The sensitive developments with regards to Ashraf oblige the \u200eUS government to protect the residents.\u200e<\/p>\n
\u200e\u201cit would be certainly unacceptable for us to see a government formed on the basis of the \u200eIranian regime\u2019s will and it is impossible for us to accept Maliki for a second term,\u201d Dr. \u200eMutlak added.\u200e<\/p>\n
The Iranian regime\u2019s Ministry of Intelligence \u200eand Security (MOIS) uses these \u200eloudspeakers as part of its campaign of psychological \u200etorture of Ashraf residents through \u200ea few professional agents with full support of a \u200ecommittee within the office of Iraqi \u200ePrime Minister tasked with suppression of Ashraf \u200eresidents.\u200e<\/p>\n
