NCRI – The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the string of bombings in Baghdad last night that spilled the blood of a large number of innocent people. It expressed its condolences to the bereaved families and wished quick recovery for the wounded.<\/p>\n
It also called for an impartial investigation under the supervision of the United Nations about these terrorist crimes, and added that such investigations would undoubtedly expose the mullahs\u2019 regime and its agents in Iraq whose hands are tainted with blood.<\/p>\n

These criminal explosions only serve the religious fascism ruling Iran to prevent the formation of a nationalist, democratic and non-sectarian government, and to impose Nouri al-Maliki as the prime minister, and to continue usurping the Iraqi people\u2019s sovereignty.<\/p>\n
These tragic crimes are committed at a time when the initiative by Saudi Arabia\u2019s King Abdullah for resolving the crisis in Iraq has received extensive support within Iraq and in the region. This plan has delivered an effective blow to the plans of the clerical regime and its agents in Iraq. The Iranian regime\u2019s leaders, angered by the initiative, have ordered their agents to defeat this move at all cost.<\/p>\n
Previously, the disclosure of thousands of documents on the crimes of the Iranian regime and those of Maliki’s gang in Iraq had further discredited Maliki and raised the abhorrence of Iraqi people against him, to a point where calls to have Maliki tried in an international tribunal for crimes against humanity are constantly on the rise.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The regime had hoped for the continuation of Maliki’s premiership from the outset. Subsequent to Maliki’s recent visit to Tehran and his further assurances to abide by the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader, in particular in exerting further pressure on Ashraf residents, in an unusual official statement, the Iranian regime declared Maliki as the suitable candidate for Iraq’s premiership.\u00a0<\/p>\n
