NCRI \u2013 An official of the Iranian regime\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) referred to the post-June-2009 anti-regime uprisings by the Iranian people on Thursday and said, \u201cA year after the sedition movement [protests] and the mayhem caused in the country, the ashes of sedition are still smoldering.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the state-run ILNA news agency, Siamak Garmabadri, head of the IRGC\u2019s center of political studies, added, \u201cLast year, the enemies launched that sedition and mayhem in the country to uproot the Islamic system forever.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was no ordinary movement. Last year\u2019s events caused an enormous sedition which was planned, organized and funded by domestic and foreign adversaries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He explicitly stressed the \u201cbitterness\u201d of the \u201cincredible extent\u201d of the protests for the regime and said that the mullahs\u2019 factions continue to face the threat of more divisions and tensions among them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
