Entitled, \u201cA sterile conversation,\u201d the editorial, which discussed the Geneva talks this week between the Iranian regime and the P5+1 countries, said, \u201cThere is another logical explanation for Iran’s willingness to talk – that it seeks to delay further sanctions, create dissension among the United States and its allies, and distract attention from its continuing crackdown on the opposition Green movement.\u201d<\/p>\n
The US and its allies, the Washington Post added, \u201cshould press forward simultaneously with other strategies to stop the Iranian nuclear program. That could include more sanctions, such as a full ban on landings by Iranian airliners in Europe.
