{"id":9469,"date":"2010-12-16T09:00:21","date_gmt":"2010-12-16T09:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/statements\/iran-protests\/9469-mourning-groups-in-various-parts-of-tehran-chanted-death-to-the-dictator"},"modified":"2023-01-13T18:30:47","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T17:30:47","slug":"mourning-groups-in-various-parts-of-tehran-chanted-death-to-the-dictator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/mourning-groups-in-various-parts-of-tehran-chanted-death-to-the-dictator\/","title":{"rendered":"Mourning Groups in various parts of Tehran chanted \u201cDeath to the Dictator\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"dictator\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-36433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2010\/12\/dictator.gif\" border=\"0\" style=\"margin: 5px;float: left\" width=\"200\" height=\"225\" \/>Ashura anti government demonstration- no. 1<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Youth lash back at 5 security force agents in Shar e Ray distric<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NCRI &#8211; During the mourning rituals of Tassoua and Ashura (the mourning days to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hossein) the residents of Tehran cried their abhorrence toward the velayat-e faqih regime in its totality by chanting anti-government slogans and writing graffiti as well as chanting \u2018Allah-o Akbar\u2019 on the roofs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Around noon on Wednesday December 15, a mourning group chanted \u201cOh Hossein\u201d or \u201cDeath to the Dictator\u201d inside one of the metro stations.\u00a0 The same group repeated their slogans at 1430 and 1700. <br \/>At 1300, the people in Nezam-Abad chanted \u2018Death to the Dictator\u2019 and booed the regime\u2019s agents when they were walking out of the \u2018Imam Hossein Mosque\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>At 1400, in Tehran\u2019s railway station, a mourning group chanted \u2018Oh, Hossein\u2019, \u2018Death to the Dictator\u2019, \u2018Allah-o Akbar\u2019, and \u2018the rule of Yazid (Imam Hossein\u2019s murderer) will be destroyed\u2019. Two people were injured during the clashes with the suppressive forces who were trying to disperse the people. At the same time, another group of youths chanting \u2018Ashrua, Ashura, marking our martyrs\u2019, called on other people to participate in the demonstration on Ashura, the next day. <br \/>At 1500 in Hafez Avenue, people chanting \u2018Death to the Dictator\u2019 clashed with the regime\u2019s agents who were trying to arrest two people who were writing graffiti on the walls. <br \/>In Tehran-Pars (eastern Tehran), Intelligence agents of the regime clashed with one of the mourning groups. <br \/>Clashes spread to the nearby alleys. Subsequently, the people started to chant \u2018Allah-o Akbar\u2019 on the roofs. <br \/>At 1700 in Vanak square, the passengers of a minibus chanted \u2018\u2018Allah-o Akbar, Iran has become Karbala (where Imam Hossein was killed)\u2019. <br \/>At the same time in Enqelab Sq. the passengers of a minibus chanted \u2018Rise up Muslim (compatriot), Iran has become Karbala\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>At 21.00 a number of youth who were under attack by security forces, lashed back and clashed with 5 members of the security forces of the Shah Abdol Aziz police force near Shar e Ray, smashing security car windows.<br \/>They were chanting&#8221; Down with Khamenei&#8221;.
