On Sunday, an Iraqi member of Parliament pointed to the January 7 attack on Camp Ashraf, saying that the Iranian regime has provoked the hatred of people in Diyala province against itself.<\/p>\n

He said Iranian regime intelligence agents and proxies are trying to \u201ccontaminate\u201d the province\u2019s political climate, and called on provincial officials and residents to expose the regime\u2019s sinister activities.<\/p>\n
Camp Ashraf, home to 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), was attacked on January 7 by regime agents and forces commanded by the Iraqi prime minister\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
According to the Iraq for All news agency, tribes in most Iraqi provinces have strongly lambasted agents who betray their country by enlisting on the Iranian regime\u2019s payroll. The paid agents are directed by the regime\u2019s embassy in Baghdad. According to the agency, the tribes warned about the negative consequences of these \u201cdespicable\u201d measures.<\/p>\n
The news agency said one of the tribal leaders, Sheikh Ali Fars al-Doleimi, voiced concern and warned the regime about its meddling in Iraq. He added, \u201cAshraf residents are supported by the United Nations.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheikh Feysal Houm al-Nadawi of the Neda tribe said, \u201cThe meddling of the regime\u2019s embassy in Iraq\u2019s domestic affairs is dangerous. Those who perpetrated the January 7 attack against Camp Ashraf are traitors and agents.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheikh Sabar Abdolaziz Sakar of the Jabour tribes in southern Iraq sent a message to tribes in Diyala, where Ashraf is located, saying that silence is no longer an option when it comes to the regime\u2019s insults and lies about the province.<\/p>\n
\u201cI urge you to stop thugs organized by the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy against Ashraf and to expel those who have ties to the Iranian regime from your province,\u201d he told tribal leaders in Diyala.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
