Iran ordered Iraq to carry out deadly rocket attack on Liberty – protest leader

NCRI- Iranian regime ordered the Iraqi government to carry out the deadly February rocket attack on Camp Liberty which left eight dead and more than 100 injured, a leading anti-Maliki protester has declared.

Sheikh Ali Hatem Ali al-Suleiman al-Dulaimi also accused the government of Nouri al-Maliki obeying Iranian regime’s orders to tighten the siege on the beleaguered camp, the Sotaliraq website reported on April 6.

Mr al-Suleiman- a prominent protest leader in the city of al-Anbar – said: “This government did whatever it wanted to them, including the rocket attack, harassment and massacre.

“The Hummer vehicles belonging to Maliki’s paramilitaries ruined everything in Camp Ashraf and killed many people.”

Mr al- Suleiman added: “Primarily, UN was supposed to be responsible for all their issues including property, safety and security.

“This is not an Iraqi government – it’s a government affiliated to the Iranian regime. Therefore, it’s no surprise that they would behave in such a manner with the residents of Liberty, although they are Iraq’s guests.

“The Iranian regime has ordered Maliki and others to increase pressure on members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Liberty and to attack them. Nonetheless, there is no one in Iraq to rebuke the government and those parties linked to Iran.”

He blamed the US, the international community, human rights organizations and the UN for the treatment of PMOI members in Iraq, asking: “What is the international community doing against these catastrophes and what is the human rights position regarding the actions of Maliki and his paramilitary groups?”
