NCRI – There is a widespread trend in the country were workers are not paid for several months and they are under severe economic pressure. According to latest reports from Ahwaz, provincial capital of Khuzistan, southern Iran, some 80 workers from the Jangieh Brick factory gathered outside the governor’s office to protest against non-payment of their wages for 14 months. Some of the protestors have been working for this factory for many years.
According to previous reports some brick factories employ children with law wages against international laws prohibiting child labor.
