Iran regime’s intelligence ministry launches crackdown

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s Intelligence Ministry has arrested two former political prisoners in Tehran.

According to received reports, agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) raided the home of Mahmoud Azimi and Fatemeh Ziai-Azad and arrested the couple.

The couple have been transferred to an unknown location.

Both Mr. Azimi and Ms. Ziai-Azad were political prisoners in the 1980s. In recent years they have been arrested on numerous occasions and kept in solitary confinement.

Ms. Ziai-Azad suffers from a serious case of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Previously she was held in detention for several years despite her condition.
