Iran: Brutal Execution of 7 Prisoners in Isfahan within 10 Days, Including Two Mothers
The executioners of the mullahs’ regime have sent at least seven prisoners, including two women, to the gallows in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison in recent days. On September 14, 2026, Rezvan Asgharzadeh, 45, a mother of six, and on September 13, 2026, Zeinab Rajabi, 46, a mother of three, were hanged. With these executions, the number of prisoners executed in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison in the Iranian month of Shahrivar (since August 23) has reached at least 14, including three women. The total number of women executed in Shahrivar has reached at least six.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the regime’s judiciary announced that Hossein Pedaran was executed on charges of espionage and intelligence cooperation with the Zionist regime (Mizan News Agency, September 19, 2026).
On September 14, 2026, Abdolrahim Narouyi-Rozaneh and Vahid Vafaei, and on September 13, 2026, Houshang Soltani and Khalil Afghan were executed in Isfahan.
In addition, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, Hadi Hasanlou, 36, was hanged in Shiraz. Prior to that, on September 16, 2026, Mehrdad Asadi was hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison and Nemat Maghami, 32, in Ahvaz. On September 15, 2026, Fereydoun Akbarzadeh was hanged in Ilam and Amir-Hossein Hemmati in Jiroft.
The brutality and cruelty of the regime’s leaders in Isfahan, ranging from the public execution of brave protesters and the issuance of criminal death sentences against prisoners of the uprising to the increasing trend of executions in Dastgerd Prison, display, above all else, the religious fascism’s fury and wrath toward the courageous rebellious youths of Isfahan during the January uprising, and its desperate attempt to intimidate these youths and prevent the resurgence of the uprising.
The Iranian Resistance once again calls on the United Nations, relevant international bodies, and all human rights organizations to take urgent action to stop the execution and massacre machine of the religious fascism ruling Iran and to save the lives of prisoners on death row.
