Iranian regime cannot be trusted – a need for inspections of all nuclear sites

The Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, leads a deceptive and fraudulent regime. The Iranian dictatorship has not committed to any resolutions or nuclear agreements with the P5+1 countries. The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has repeatedly disclosed the secret nuclear and military sites of this regime via various press conferences. The validity of these revelations has been confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and by prestigious international media. For this reason, the inspection of nuclear sites in Rouhani’s government is critical.

Members of the U.S. Congress from both parties have repeatedly called on President Obama and the Congress to address this issue.

Rep. Ed Royce (R-Ca), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, in an interview with Fox News TV, emphasized the critical importance of an inspection of the mullahs’ regime’s nuclear and military sites. A Fox News host asked him: “President Obama has told American people ‘if Iran cheats the world community, we will know’. Is this true?” Chairman Royce said: “I don’t see how it could be true given our experience during failed negotiations with North Korea. On 1994 framework agreement, North Korea cheated. We certainly didn’t know until they developed nuclear weapons. This time negotiate the ability to have the inspectors to go anywhere any time. So, unless we can go to all sites including the Iranian military sites, where we know in the past they have cheated, we will be hit by a big surprise.”

“I fired off a letter to the President on these negotiations and had 367 members of the house co-signed that letter. What we pointed out was that this deal has to have verification, where the inspectors should be able to go to all sites,” he added.

Chairman Royce said: “Those are [Iranian nuclear] facilities that we know about. There may be facilities that we don’t know about. That is just one problem. We will lose our leverage on the front end in these negotiations by giving a signing bonus to the Ayatollahs by lifting sanctions.”

Also, Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), Ranking Member of Senate Foreign Relations Committee, in an interview with CNN, reiterated that the Iranian regime cannot be trusted.

When he was asked whether the Senate’s Iran bill is an act against the U.S. President, Senator Cardin said: “No, absolutely not.” He said that today the U.S. was stronger because of the result of vote in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Iran cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear bomb. “We have tried the right way to assess sanctions against Iran by the US Congress. It was us who imposed the sanctions and it is up to us to revise it.”

The CNN host asked: One of the problems in the Lausanne agreement is that apparently there are two versions of it. One is the agreement that Iran mullahs talk about inside the country and the second is the agreement that US officials provide. What is your view on this?

Senator Cardin explained that a longer time is needed before the Iranian regime reaches a nuclear threshold and that can be achieved thorough inspections of Iran’s nuclear sites so that if they cheat we would know it, because we do not trust the Iranian regime. He stressed the need to be able to act before the Iranian regime obtains nuclear weapon.

It should be noted that Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian opposition leader said during a speech at an international conference in Paris in 2014: “The regime of Supreme Leader, Khamenei, is the main feeder of terrorism and fundamentalism in the region.”

“Iranian Resistance led by Massoud Rajavi has established a sustained movement against religious fascism ruling Iran, played a determining role in ideological defeat of Islamic fundamentalism by defending democratic Islam, and raised the flag of overthrow of the regime. The Iranian Resistance stood against Khamenei’s religious dictatorship and exposed Iranian regime’s biggest sites and secret nuclear facilities,” Mrs. Rajavi added.

Mrs. Rajavi emphasized: “Any appeasement by the western countries in nuclear negotiations will embolden the mullahs’ regime in its pursuit of nuclear bomb. The Iranian regime must be compelled to fully implement Security Council resolutions, stop uranium enrichment, and accept unannounced inspections to all sites and suspected nuclear facilities.”
