NCRI – Senator Luigi Compagna, a member of the Italian Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued a message expressing his support for an upcoming major Iranian grand gathering in Paris.
“We will be taking part in this major rally to express our support for those who struggle for freedom in Iran… This rally, is in support of people who are united for democracy,” he said.
“One cannot speak of any moderation in a country where there is no minimum freedom and democracy. Unfortunately, in the days after the reelection of Rouhani, we have witnessed dreadful events. During these few days 18 people have been executed. These years the West, and especially the Obama administration, opened a dangerous and irresponsible path with Iran. From this perspective, the call made by the new US government against Tehran will rebalance the irresponsible measures of the previous US government,” Compagna added.
