The attendance by Ahmadinejad, President of a regime which openly violates the Non-Proliferation Treaty and tramples on UN Security Council resolutions, is a plain insult to world peace and international treaties.
The international community must isolate this regime whose leaders must be prosecuted for crimes against humanity, including the murder of 120,000 political prisoners as well as more than 500 terrorist attacks, the killing of innocent people across the world, warmongering and the export of terrorism and fundamentalism in the region.
As U.S. lawmakers have reiterated, the U.S. government has no legal obligation to grant Ahmadinejad an entry visa. For the sake of global peace, and a firm and principled policy which reject appeasement, the religious fascism ruling Iran must not be given the opportunity to ridicule the UN and the NPT review conference.
