International call to condemn Iran regime’s internet terrorism

national council of resistance of IranNCRI- In the past week and following the decisive ruling of the British Court of Appeal to remove the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the list of proscribed organizations, the Iranian regime has intensified its attacks on the websites belonged to the Iranian Resistance. By spending millions of dollars and through a network of agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) in different countries and deployment of professional hackers, the regime has been attacking mojahedonline website of the PMOI; ncr-iran of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran; hambastegimeli of the Iranian Resistance and a number of other news websites affiliated to the Resistance.

The intensity of the attacks has shocked the international internet service providers. The ncr-iran provides news and information in five languages; English, French, German, Italian and Arabic.

Mullahs' internet terrorism is organized by the MOIS which is responsible for imposition of censorship, espionage and terrorism and for its latest attacks the regime has been using computers in the US and the European countries.

To prevent access to the Resistance's news websites by Iranians, in particular the youth, the regime has been using advanced filtering systems for many years. The regime has also been trying to jam satellite broadcasts in a flagrant violation of international law including ITV and the regulations covering satellite communications. For the past 11 years it has been trying to jam satellite programs of the Iranian Resistance's TV broadcasts.

The regime's intolerance of the Resistance's websites clearly indicates their effectiveness in providing unfiltered information and news about Iran in addition to the fact that the mullahs' consider the Iranian Resistance as a serious threat to its existence. The regime has been spending astronomical amounts to spread its censorship and repression to beyond Iranian borders in a bid to deprive public of free news and information and the Resistance's revelations of the regime's suppressive crimes inside Iran and terrorist meddling in other countries.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN Secretary General, international competent bodies and also organizations defending freedom of expression, to condemn internet terrorism by the religious fascism ruling Iran. The Resistance also calls for a firm and decisive policy against the regime to counter its abuse of the international regulations.
