“Presently, only one special detention center has been built to hold prisoners temporality on Resalat Highway in northeast Tehran for the province… There will be two more completed before the end of the year. However, based on the estimates, there should be four other buildings of the same nature built in Tehran Province,” said Sohrab Soleimani the director of the regime's prisons.
The mullahs’ inhuman regime has been offering different excuses for building a variety of new facilities to house an overflow of prisoners. There are more than 600 prisoners on death row in the notorious Gohardasht prison some 40 km west of Tehran.
There are over eight million cases entering the mullahs' judicial system annually which are used as measures in combating the increasing public protests by the workers, students, women and youth.
