
Statement: The People’s Mojahedin who have been political refugees in Iraq for 20 years have always been a motivating force and a cooperative partner, and their active presence in the province of Diyala has been a productive factor
NCRI – Following a joint session, political parties and forces in Iraq’s Diyala Province issued a resolution in which they called for “united action to combat the conspiracies of the Iranian regime.” They insisted, “The most important factor for neutralizing the threats of the enemy under the present circumstances is the unity of all national and democratic forces at all levels. We believe our gathering in Diyala to be a step in this direction.”
The groups and parties who organized the session, including the Islamic Party of Iraq, the National Movement of Iraq, the National Front of Iraqi Tribes, Iraq’s National Elite and the National Dialogue Front of Iraq, announced in a declaration at the end of the conference, “The People’s Mojahedin of Iran, who have been political refugees in Iraq for 20 years, have always been a motivating force and a cooperative partner in taking active and productive steps, and their active presence in the province of Diyala has been a productive factor.”
The conference participants called for increased activities and unity by all national forces, NGOs and independent national political personalities in Diyala and reiterated, “In order to discover the solutions to current crisis in the province, one must not fear the criminal actions and terrorism conducted by the Iranian regime’s mercenaries.”
