Maryam Rajavi: Open Camp Liberty for visits by lawyers and politicians

Mrs rajavi reminded the direct responsibility of the US Government and the UN for the security and protection of the residents in Camp liberty and emphasized that camp liberty is 80 times smaller than Ashraf therefore it has no protection for the residents.
The UNHCR declared in a document on January 19, 2012, that Liberty lacked refugee standards and did not meet Humanitarian Standards laid out by World Health Organization (WHO). But few days later, on January 31, 2012, Martin Kobler, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, deceitfully declared that the camp met the humanitarian standards.
The International Committee In Search of Justice (ISJ) in a statement on February 6, 2013, said this deceitful announcement must be a subject of prosecution. The statement emphasized that the transfer of Ashraf residents to Liberty was void and unlawful right from the beginning and in contravention of articles 51 and 52 of 1969 Vienna Convention.
In another statement Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, also called on the UN Security Council to oblige the Government of Iraq to open the gates of Camp Liberty immediately for visits by lawyers, journalists, parliamentary delegations and politicians from the US, Europe and Arab countries who wish to go to the camp and see the facts first hand with their own eyes.
