NCRI – In a message to her compatriots in exile, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, expressed her gratitude to them for their protests, sit-ins, hunger strikes, gentle sentiments, tears and prayers for the residents of Ashraf who struggle for freedom. She also expressed her appreciation for the growing national solidarity in defense of Mojahedin members in Ashraf who seek freedom in Iran. She described this solidarity as another facet of Iranian people’s will for democratic change and popular sovereignty. This is yet another indication of the unity and solidarity among Iranians in the nationwide uprising of recent weeks, she reiterated.
Mrs. Rajavi added, “I know that the scenes of merciless brutality and crimes against residents of Ashraf incur the wrath and deep revulsion of any honorable Iranian. This is completely understandable and respectable. But, I sincerely urge you to control your pure emotions and refrain from any impulsive reaction. I call on you to focus your energies to peacefully and lawfully protest in host countries to echo the voice of victimized and valiant residents of Ashraf to the whole world.”
