At Least 65 Prisoners Executed in Iran Between January 24 and 28, 2026

As the heinous crimes of the ruling religious fascism during the Dey (January) Uprising are further exposed, the regime, finding no escape from its internal and external crises and facing the growing prospect of its overthrow, has accelerated its machinery of execution. Through this unprecedented savagery, the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is desperately attempting to control the volatile situation and delay the inevitable downfall of his regime.

On Wednesday, January 28, 14 prisoners were executed. The regime’s judiciary announced: ‘Hamidreza Sabet Esmaeilpour, son of Gholamhossein, who was arrested on April 29, 2025, was executed on charges of espionage and intelligence cooperation for the benefit of a hostile intelligence service’ (Mizan News Agency – January 28, 2026). The other prisoners executed on this day were: Saeed Malikan in Qezelhesar, Foad Amini in Mahabad, Sajjad Khani in Esfarayen, Farhad Namazi in Sabzevar, Arshia Chegeni in Shiraz, Nima Afshari in Malayer, Khosro Pezeshki in Damghan, Armin Aghapour in Mashhad, one prisoner in Chabahar, Darvish-Abbas Yadegari in Kashmar, Hossein Mousavi in Shahr-e Kord, Mokhtar Hassani in Bushehr, and Hashem Abbasi in Ahar.

On Tuesday, January 27, 11 prisoners were hanged: Javad Haghighat and Abolfazl Beigmohammadi in Zanjan, Rajabali Nourzad in Rasht, Khodakaram Moradi in Birjand, Sanjar Dowlat-Rashid in Bam, Mojtaba Azizi in Khaf, Ghobad Fathi in Ilam, Abbas Karami in Borazjan, Mehdi Balali in Ahvaz, Mehran Akhbari in Jiroft, and Karim Enhesari in Yazd.

On Monday, January 26, 10 prisoners were hanged: Javad Shabani in Nowshahr, Ehsan Kamarei in Neyshabur, Mohammad Gharacheh in Zanjan, Saeed Ghasemi in Saveh, Ashkan Khodayari and another prisoner in Isfahan, Rahman Nobakht in Gorgan, Saman Sarlak in Dorud, Amirhossein Faghani in Kashan, and Dariush Mehrani in Kerman.

On Sunday, January 25, 14 prisoners, including one woman, were executed: Ali Moradi and Mohammad Nouhani, our Baluch compatriots, in Zahedan; Bahram Haddadshokri, 28, and Siavash Dorostkar in Ardabil; Ebrahim Abdoli and Pejman Safari in Tabriz; Leila Joudaki in Qom; Alimohammad Behjat in Borujerd; Mahmoud Shafiei in Semnan; Teymour Rostami in Qazvin; Ahmad Jalili in Bandar Abbas; Majid Torki in Nowshahr; Esmaeil Niazi in Arak; and Mehdi Alihosseini in Ahvaz.

On Saturday, January 24, 16 prisoners were hanged: Sajjad Farhadpour, 27, in Khomein; three prisoners in Qezelhesar, Karaj; and Taleb Mohammadian in Semnan. The names of the other victims were mentioned in a previous statement.
