
At Least 341 Executions Registered in January 2026; Execution Toll Exceeds 300 for Fourth Consecutive Month
According to reports received by the morning of Wednesday, February 4, Iranian regime authorities hanged at least 72 prisoners between Wednesday, January 28, and Tuesday, February 3.
On Tuesday, February 3, 15 prisoners were hanged: Khalil Hemmati in Shiraz, Pouya Lashani in Sabzevar, Moradbeyg Haghighat in Birjand, a prisoner in Bam, Eshagh Miri in Jiroft, Kourosh Nayeri in Yazd, Majid Sohrabi in Malayer, Hirman Sadri in Mahabad, Ali Haghighat-Doust in Lahijan, Tahmaseb Mehrjou in Khaf, Afshin Maleki in Ilam, Hedayat Mirzaei in Borazjan, Bahram Bani-Asad in Ahvaz, Ayoub Lashkari in Rasht, and Saeed Rouhani in Sirjan.
On Monday, February 2, 10 prisoners were hanged: Arman Koushki in Nowshahr, Sattar Khalvand in Isfahan, Sharif Mardanpour in Kerman, Sohrab Rafati in Saveh, Yashar Rezaei in Kashan, Mehdi Poushahbaz in Zanjan, Mohammad Jame’ Shorani in Dorud, Arian Shookhi in Qaemshahr, Bagher Mohebbi in Neyshabur, and Hossein Najjar in Gorgan.
On Sunday, February 1, Khamenei’s killing machine claimed 11 victims: Mostafa Minavand in Semnan, Hekmat Daryaei in Bandar Abbas, Peyman Shiri in Tabriz, Sajjad Dousti in Nowshahr, Amin Nasiri in Sanandaj, Mohammad Ali Moridan in Borujerd, Fardin Kalami in Qom, Behrouz Hazrati in Ardabil, Nasser Hosseini in Qazvin, Manouchehr Mehrabi in Nain, and Shahriar Farahani in Arak.
On Saturday, January 31, 11 prisoners were sent to the gallows: Samad Bahrami in Yasuj, Hossein Dolatshahi in Nahavand, Hadi Lashani in Iranshahr, Mokhtar Nouri in Zahedan, Delavar Ashraf-Abadi in Hamedan, Jahan Azadbakht in Dezful, Mohammad Javad Namdari in Kermanshah, Shahab Boroujerdi in Aligudarz, Kiarash Zakipour in Karaj, Hatam Shamshiri, and Ahmad Reza Darikvand in Khorramabad.
On Thursday, January 29, nine prisoners were hanged: Ardeshir Molaei in Kerman, Yaser Babakouhi in Taybad, Golmorad Aghaei in Gonabad, Nosrat Asadi in Bojnurd, Hamed Cheraghi in Mahshahr, Touraj Nourafkan in Sari, Younes Salami in Ferdows, Houshang Khalesi in Behbahan, and Soran Ahmadi in Bukan.
On Wednesday, January 28, 16 prisoners were sent to the gallows. Two of these victims were Amir Rouhi in Kerman and Amir Hossein Tavakoli Zanyani in Shahr-e Kord. The names of the other 14 victims were included in a previous statement.
The number of registered executions in January 2026 exceeded 300 for the fourth consecutive month, reaching 341. Registered executions in October, November, and December 2025 were 309, 346, and 423, respectively. A regime that has exhausted its capacity and is engulfed by crises and incurable problems would be overthrown were it to stop the killing of protesters and the execution of prisoners for even a single day.
