Iran: Assault on Baluch Compatriots in Bandar Kolahi: Tear Gas, Live Ammunition, and Pellet Rounds Used for the Third Consecutive Day

Destruction of Property, Demolition of Homes, and Displacement of Impoverished Residents of Minab

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, for the third consecutive day, protestors in Bandar Kolahi, a district of Minab County in Hormozgan Province, were subjected to a brutal attack by repressive forces using tear gas, live ammunition, and pellet rounds. According to reports, a large number of residents, including teenagers, were injured or arrested.

Previously, on Sunday and Monday, May 11 and 12, 2025, under the pretext of combating “fuel smuggling,” repressive forces raided people’s homes, widely demolishing houses, fishing equipment, fuel transport tools, and personal belongings, leaving many homeless. Courageous Baluch women living in Bandar Kolahi took to the streets to protest the savage attacks by Khamenei’s forces on their homes and property. However, the State Security Force (SSF), alongside special units, launched attacks on the demonstrators. The repressive agents also looted residents’ cash and gold.

On May 6, 2025, the Minab SSF command issued a statement giving the residents of Bandar Kolahi three days to vacate their fuel-transport equipment, which was their sole means of livelihood.

In another criminal act on the evening of Sunday, May 11, 2025, following gunfire by Khamenei’s forces on a fuel transporter’s vehicle 10 kilometers from Rayen, a district of Kerman, the car caught fire, and the impoverished transporter perished in the flames.
