- Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: The clerical regime, in fear of the uprising and the expansion of Resistance Units, has resorted to more executions
- Call for immediate and practical action by the Security Council and member states to stop executions in Iran.
- Erfan’s charges according to the regime’s judiciary: using Molotov cocktails, carrying cold weapons, blocking roads, and attacking agents.
In a brutal crime, the executioners of the clerical regime hanged the brave rebellious youth Erfan Kiani, a courageous son of the people of Isfahan, this morning, Saturday, April 25.
The regime’s judiciary listed Erfan’s charges as “destruction of public and private property, arson, carrying and using Molotov cocktails, carrying cold weapons (machete), blocking the path of vehicles, and attacking agents.” It added that Erfan, acting as a leader for several others during the January uprising, “provided the grounds for creating fires in the street by carrying pre-prepared wooden boards and tires.” According to the regime’s judiciary, the cases of 15 other individuals have been reviewed so far, and they “have been sentenced to prison” (Mizan, April 25, 2026).
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, stated that the clerical regime, terrified of the escalation of popular uprisings and the expansion of Resistance Units, sees its only way out in erecting gallows and accelerating the issuance of death sentences. However, it futilely attempts to escape its inevitable overthrow through these relentless executions. These brutal crimes only further ignite the flames of the people’s anger and strengthen the resolve of the brave and rebellious youths of Iran to achieve the regime’s overthrow.
Mrs. Rajavi once again called on the international community to decisively condemn the wave of executions in Iran. She demanded immediate and practical measures by the United Nations Security Council and its member states to stop the executions and save the prisoners on death row. It is time for the regime’s leaders to face justice for over four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.
