On Saturday, September 3, the mullahs’ regime hanged two Baluch political prisoners, Mohsen Ghanbarzehi and Ainullah Ghanbarzehi after 10 years of imprisonment in Zahedan prison. They were accused of “acting against national security, communicating with groups opposed to the regime, and killing three military officers”. Mohsen Ghanbarzehi was 16 years old at the time of the arrest. Ainullah and Mohsen, being relatives, were arrested in 2012 and were tortured in the solitary cells of the IRGC intelligence detention center and forced to confess.

These two prisoners, along with a number of other prisoners, wrote in a letter from Zahedan prison in 2019, which said in part: “Several Baluch prisoners have been kept in handcuffs and shackles in the IRGC detention center of this city for seven months. Hanging defendants from their feet for hours is another method of torture carried out by IRGC intelligence. The IRGC agents have buried Ainullah Ghanbarzehi up to his neck in order to get a forced confession from him”.

On the same day (September 3), the regime hanged Masoud Qa’ed Rahmati (Haroui) in Khorram Abad prison. He actively participated in the 2017 protests in Lorestan and was famous among the people for his sportsmanship and bravery.

In another crime on September 1, the mullahs’ regime hanged Hamid Qarehlor in Qom prison. The execution took place while his dossier was still open, and his family was trying to get consent from the plaintiffs. Hamid was the brother of Ali Qarehlor, who was executed in the same prison on August 6. In order to save his brother, Hamid released a video clip from prison to prevent his execution. After the release of the clip, Hamid was transferred to solitary confinement and subjected to torture, His early execution was carried out in retaliation for his disclosure from prison.

On August 31, another prisoner Mohammad Hassan Kahrari was hanged in Arak prison. On the same day, another prisoner Mehdi (Zia) Soleimani died in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz due to the lack of medical care and preventing him from being sent to the hospital.

Moreover, AIDS disease is spreading in the Karaj Central Prison, especially in Ward 3, and the prison authorities are not taking any measures to control it. Patients are not isolated from other prisoners and the hygiene level is extremely low.
