Ali Khamenei’s relentless cycle of crime and executions, fueled by his fear of the people’s uprising, continues to escalate. On Wednesday, November 27, the regime executed seven prisoners: Reza Shirzehi, 21, who was only 17 at the time of the alleged crime, along with Hamed Pakdel and two other prisoners in Qezelhessar; Morteza Pashapoori in Tabriz; Hadi Ghiyami in Nahavand; and Davood Rajabi, 30, in Qom Central Prison.
On Tuesday, November 26, five prisoners were hanged: Jahangir Rahimi in Saqqez; Ehsan Vali Abadi, 30, in Karaj Central Prison; Farhad Khosravi Sadkhro in Gorgan; Jafar Mirza Qasemi, 35, in Zanjan; and Jamshid Taherkhani in Qazvin.
On Monday, November 25, nine prisoners were executed, with the names of three victims previously reported. The six additional prisoners were Reza Shahbazi and Nezamoddin Noorolhaq, 27, in Shiraz; Amirhossein Rahimi and Ali Rostami in Isfahan; Hassan Karimi in Saveh; and Alireza Nourian in Mashhad. In total, between Monday and Wednesday, at least 27 prisoners were executed, averaging one every three and a half hours.
On Sunday, November 24, in addition to four executions previously reported, another prisoner was hanged in Qezelhessar. On Saturday, November 23, Mostafa Souri was executed in Kermanshah, and on Thursday, November 21, Majid Jafari, 38, was executed in Shahr-e Kord.
On Wednesday, November 20, Ali Tarkeshband in Rasht, along with Mohammad Reza Saberi and another prisoner in Birjand, were executed. This brought the total number of executions to 152 in the Iranian month of Aban (October 22- November 20).
Since Massoud Pezeshkian took office, the number of executions has reached at least 540.
In another horrific incident, prison guards at Karaj Central Prison delayed transferring an injured prisoner to the hospital after he fell from his bed. After several days of neglect, the prisoner’s condition worsened. On Sunday, November 24, he was finally taken to the prison infirmary, where he died.
