Iran’s Regime Executes 56 Prisoners, Including Two Women and a Juvenile Offender, in Seven Days—One Execution Every Three Hours

  • Two prisoners die in Ghezel Hesar and Shiraz prisons due to medical neglect
  • Khamenei’s sole escape from public fury is torture and execution; inaction fuels the machinery of execution and terror

Trapped in incurable economic and political crises and terrified of popular uprising and fury, the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has intensified the massacre of prisoners to preserve his cursed clerical regime. In just seven days, from October 15, 2025, to October 21, at least 56 prisoners have been executed. This means one person is cruelly and brutally murdered every three hours so that the tyrant Khamenei can cling to power.

On Tuesday, October 21, eight prisoners were executed: Hamzeh Shahou Zehi, 36-year-old Serajuddin Abitalibi, and 26-year-old Mohammad Shams in Shiraz; Jalil Ashouri in Mashhad; Eqbal Khazaei, 31-year-old Shahram Mirzaei, and a prisoner named Ahmad in Kermanshah; and Mahyar Afrashteh in Ilam.

On Monday, October 20, nine prisoners were hanged: Bahman Soltani in Hamedan; 22-year-old Ali Aqajari (who was 17 at the time of the alleged crime) and Sajjad Shokri in Ahvaz; Nourmohammad Asgari in Nahavand; a prisoner named Hamid in Kerman; and a prisoner named Khaled along with three others in Taybad, Razavi Khorasan province.

On Sunday, October 19, seven prisoners were executed: Gholam Nemati in Bam; Farhang Hout Namdadi in Kahnuj; Nima Torkaman and another prisoner in Arak; Moslem Soleimani Dehkordi in Shahr-e Kord; Ayoub Vali in Borazjan; and 27-year-old Milad Forouzandeh in Neyshabur.

On Saturday, October 18, Kamran Amini and Farshad Sanei in Khorramabad, Mehdi Hamzeipour in Arak, and Javad Naeimi in Qom were sent to the gallows.

On Thursday, October 16, Jaber Nadi and Jalal Mahmoudi in Kerman, Mohammadreza Cheraghi in Shahroud, and 25-year-old Reza Yousefi in Qom were hanged.

On Wednesday, October 15, in a major crime, 24 prisoners were executed: Shaban Ezzati and 36-year-old Abolfazl Garrousi in Tabriz; Soltan Morad Mohammadi in Qom; Mohammad Naeimi and 32-year-old Kazem Omidi in Ahvaz; Maziar Fathi in Taybad; Nahid Hemmati in Nahavand; Sajjad Shahriari, 27-year-old Touraj Rostami, 34-year-old Nasir Babamohammadi, 34-year-old Mansour Bideli, and 30-year-old Kafieh Qobadzadeh in Shiraz; and 30-year-old Maziar Bahrami in Isfahan. The names of the other executed prisoners were provided in a previous statement.

Additionally, last week, two prisoners, Hassan Sahraei in Ghezel Hesar and Sajjad Shabani in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz, died due to a lack of timely medical treatment.

The anti-human clerical regime, which cannot survive a single day without torture and execution, has reduced the number of executions in Ghezel Hesar Prison following the hunger strike, only to increase the killings in other prisons. This regime interprets the silence and inaction of the international community as a green light for more executions. This regime must be shunned by the international community, and its leaders must be brought to justice for 46 years of crimes against humanity and genocide.
