According to a document classified as “highly confidential,” prepared for Ali Khamenei, the regime’s supreme leader, and a copy of which is in possession of the Security and Counterterrorism Committee of the National Council of Resistance (NCRI), the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander-in-Chief, Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami reported that in the first two weeks of the uprising, the IRGC, the SSF, and the Ministry of Intelligence had detained 9,654, 9,545, and 1,246 protesters, respectively.

The regime has announced the release of some of the detainees in the meantime, but more have been arrested.

According to this report, 42 percent of those arrested are under the age 20. Also, Salami asserted that some of the detainees were “organized” members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
