Iran’s Rebellious Youth Target Regime Symbols in Support of Retirees’ Protests

In support of the retirees’ uprising and in protest against the brutal executions over the past three weeks, rebellious youth set fire to centers of plunder and suppression, as well as images of regime leaders and signs of suppressive institutions, during 20 operations

In solidarity with the retirees’ rightful protests against their trampled rights and in response to the execution of 100 prisoners between December 21, 2024, and January 9, 2025, rebellious youth carried out 10 operations across various cities, targeting centers of oppression and exploitation.

These daring actions included assaults on the IRGC Basij center in Kerman, the IRGC Basij center in Lordegan, three regime-affiliated plunder centers in Tehran, a plunder center in Mashhad, a suppression center operating under the name “Relief Committee” in Isfahan, a women’s suppression center known as “Hozeh” in Kermanshah, another suppression center under the same title in Bojnurd, and the regime’s foundation of looting and exploitation in Bandar Anzali.

In an additional 10 operations, two banners of Qasem Soleimani on bridges over the Sayyad Shirazi Highway and the Imam Ali Highway in Tehran, a banner of Ebrahim Raisi on the Fardis Bridge in Karaj, a Qasem Soleimani billboard and another banner on the Shimiai bridge in the same city, an image of Khomeini in Masjed Soleyman, a Qasem Soleimani banner in Kerman, the signboard of the IRGC Basij intelligence center in Bojnurd, images of Khomeini and Khamenei in Yazd, and the sign of the State Security Force (SSF) in Shahr-e Kord were set ablaze.
