From Saturday to Monday, October 25-27, 2025, various cities across the country witnessed a widespread wave of protests and strikes by different sectors of the population against the catastrophic living conditions, systemic corruption, and institutionalized plunder.

On Monday, October 27, telecommunications retirees took to the streets in a coordinated nationwide movement in the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Shiraz, Mashhad, Kerman, Kermanshah, Hamedan, Sanandaj, Marivan, Zanjan, Lorestan, Khoy, Ahvaz, Khorramabad, and Shahr-e Kord. In some cities, protesters chanted powerful slogans such as, “We built the telecommunications, the IRGC took it, we lost,” “O two leadership institutions, why this tyranny?” and “Our enemy is right here, they lie saying it’s America,” directly identifying the IRGC and the Execution of Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) as the main culprits behind the plunder of their assets.

On the same day, National Bank (Bank Melli) retirees in Tehran rallied with the slogan, “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, we are all in this together.” In Kermanshah, nurses gathered in front of the Medical Sciences University to protest a year of unpaid salaries and overtime. Additionally, bakers in Mashhad protested the non-payment of bread subsidies, and victims of the “Justice Shares” scam protested in Tehran.

On Sunday, October 26, families of death-row prisoners gathered in front of the clerical regime’s parliament. Social Security and steel retirees took to the streets in Shush, Kermanshah, Rasht, and Ahvaz, while telecommunications retirees protested in seven provinces. Workers from the Kazheh Tile factory in Eslamabad-e-Gharb, Refah department store workers in Zanjan and Hamedan, and municipal workers in Qasr-e Shirin also held protests.

On Saturday, October 25, employees of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company in the Bahregan region protested low salaries and restrictions on their retirement benefits. Workers from the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company and the Gohar Zamin Sirjan Company went on strike. Other protesters on this day included individuals with pending car deliveries in Tehran and Yazd, electricity distribution workers and emergency personnel in Ahvaz, petrochemical workers in Ilam, Bank Shahr depositors in Qom, and students at the Iranshahr University of Medical Sciences. Workers at the South Pars gas refineries also announced a three-stage protest plan, warning management of their indifference to their demands.
