Iranians Reject Both the Mullahs’ and Shah’s Dictatorships, and All Forms of Tyranny and Dependence
Over the past week, PMOI Resistance Units conducted nine image projections and 208 activities in Tehran and dozens of other cities across Iran. Under the central slogan ‘Neither the Shah nor the Mullahs,’ they highlighted the Iranian people’s firm resolve to overthrow the clerical regime and reject any return to a monarchical dictatorship. These operations included image projections, photo displays, graffiti, installing placards and banners, and the widespread dissemination of slogans on Yalda Night (the longest night of the year).
Nine image projection activities were carried out in Mashhad (Piroozi Boulevard, Palestine Street, and Saremi Boulevard), Bandar Abbas (Kharazmi Street and Meraj Street), Tabriz (Farhang Shahr), on the Shiraz-Fasa highway, Shahriar (Juybar Street), and Karaj (Kaj Boulevard) with the slogan ‘Neither the Shah nor the Mullahs,’ drawing a clear line against all forms of dictatorship. In these bold activities, images of Resistance leaders Massoud and Maryam Rajavi were projected onto walls in high-traffic areas, along with slogans such as ‘Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader,’ ‘Monarchy and Velayat, one hundred years of crime,’ ‘Dictatorship is dictatorship, whether with a turban or a crown,’ and ‘Like the Shah’s regime, the Mullahs’ end has come.’
On Yalda Night, Resistance Units carried out 180 activities in Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Rasht, Kermanshah, Shahr-e Kord, Birjand, Sanandaj, Shahin Shahr, Shahr-e Qods, and Urmia. By installing banners and placards and writing graffiti, they emphasized the Iranian people’s decisive rejection of both past and present dictatorships. Slogans such as ‘We want neither the Shah nor the Mullahs, cursed be the dictators,’ ‘Like the Shah, the Mullahs’ overthrow is definite and certain,’ ‘Iran is awake, it loathes the Shah and the Mullahs,’ ‘Neither the crown nor the turban, the Mullahs’ game is over,’ and ‘Monarchy and Velayat, one hundred years of crime’ were widely distributed and displayed.
Additionally, Resistance Units conducted 28 activities in Zahedan with the slogan, ‘The time has come to end all forms of dictatorship, whether religious or monarchical.’
This extensive and bold campaign took place as the clerical regime, fearing escalating social protests over the rise in gasoline prices, has placed its repressive forces on high alert. In Tehran alone, it has deployed 42,500 personnel from the IRGC, Basij, and the State Security Force (SSF) to counter the people’s uprising.
