On the Occasion of the 61st Anniversary of the Founding of the PMOI
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, marking the 61st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the Resistance Units carried out 56 daring operations across Tehran and 22 other cities, including Mashhad, Gorgan, Kohgiluyeh, Chabahar, Iranshahr, Kermanshah, Bushehr, Bam, Farsan, Zahedan, Torbat-e Jam, Sarbaz, Pishin, Rask, Karaj, Shiraz, Qazvin, Birjand, Arak, Kashan, Maragheh, and Borazjan. Despite intense security measures and extensive CCTV surveillance, they successfully targeted Basij centers as well as suppressive and plunderous institutions affiliated with the IRGC.
The 61-year history of the PMOI represents an unrelenting struggle against the dictatorships of the Shah and the mullahs for the freedom of the Iranian people and their enchained homeland.
Some of the targeted centers include:
– Setting fire to and causing explosions at IRGC-affiliated Basij centers in the cities of Kohgiluyeh, Chabahar, Kermanshah, Bam, Iranshahr, Sarbaz, and Torbat-e Jam.
– Attacks on the regime’s judiciary centers in Gorgan and Bushehr.
– Causing explosions and setting fire to suppressive centers known as ‘Hozeh’ (seminaries) in Mashhad and Bam.
– Targeting informant headquarters and IRGC signs in Chabahar and Rask.
– Causing explosions at the department of censorship and suppression, known as the Ministry of ‘Culture and Guidance,’ in Iranshahr.
– Causing explosions at a suppressive and plunderous government center at the Robat Karim Municipality in Tehran.
– Setting fire to symbols and signs of the Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) espionage headquarters in Tehran, a checkpoint building in Farsan, and State Security Force (SSF) signs in Pishin.
During this campaign, banners, symbols, and hated effigies of Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, Qasem Soleimani, and Mojtaba Khamenei were also set on fire.
