NCRI – Following Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance's trip to Italy on an invitation by the Italian Senators and a subsequent declaration of the support by the majority of the country's Senate for removal of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the EU’s list of terrorist organizations, the mullahs' regime frantically reacted. Hassan Qashqavi, the mullahs' regime Foreign Ministry spokesman admitted to such a campaign.
The official news agency IRNA quoted him as saying, “The government of Islamic Republic has officially submitted its protest to the Italian government against unfreezing of the PMOI’s assets as a terrorist organization.” He added, “We have submitted our objection through diplomatic channels.”

Te majority of the members of Italian Parliament in a bipartisan initiative announced their support for the Iranian Resistance in July. On October 23, in a press conference, members of the Italian parliament revealed that the ruling religious dictatorship in Iran has attempted to blackmail them into withdrawing their support for the Iranian Resistance.
The Iranian Resistance condemns blackmailing by the mullahs’ regime and calls on the Italian government to implement the ruling of the Court of First Instance of the European Communities which calls for the removal of the PMOI from the EU’s terror list and thus deprive the mullahs from its most important instrument against Iranian people and their Resistance.
