Iran-Security Council: Rajavi welcomes UN Security Council’s censure of mullahs’ President

UN Security councilThe Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi lauded the United Nations Security Council for condemning the repugnant remarks by the mullahs’ President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. She said, “As long as the clerical regime is in power, it would not abandon the export of terrorism and fundamentalism as well as enmity to peace and tranquility.”
Mrs. Rajavi said Ahmadinejad’s remarks on Wednesday clearly contradicted the United Nations’ Charter and international law. “As the Iranian Resistance reiterated four months ago, the coming to power of Ahmadinejad was a declaration of war on the international community as far as obtaining nuclear weapons, export of fundamentalism and terrorism were concerned.”
She said that the only way to rid the region and the world of the ogre of fundamentalism and terrorism was democratic change in Iran. Mrs. Rajavi urged the United Nations Security Council to impose sanctions on the clerical regime for its flagrant violations of human rights, export of terrorism and fundamentalism and efforts to acquire nuclear weapons.
