Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: The UN Security Council Resolutions Are Essential to Prevent the Religious Dictatorship From Acquiring a Nuclear Bomb and Must Be Enforced Decisively.

The final solution is regime change by the Iranian people, and the right to resist against the regime of terror and massacre must be recognized.

Starting in the early hours of Sunday, September 28, 2025, the six UN Security Council resolutions concerning the nuclear projects of the clerical regime are once again being implemented after a 10-year suspension.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Resistance for the transitional period of transferring sovereignty to the Iranian people, emphasized that any further appeasement of the mullahs was no longer possible. From now on, the resolutions must be applied without any leniency or concessions, and all avenues for circumventing them must be blocked — especially since the six resolutions focus on the regime’s nuclear program, weapon and missile technologies, and banking exchanges.

The import of food, medicine, medical equipment, agricultural necessities, and humanitarian items — that is, essential and public goods — has not been and is not subject to sanctions, and no party can or should obstruct them.

Mrs. Rajavi recalled that the regime has grossly abused the privileges of the agreement made 10 years ago, spending oil revenues on warfare, repression, the export of terrorism, the missile program, and the pursuit of nuclear weapons, including maximum enrichment.
However, according to international statistics and statements from regime officials, even though oil exports increased about sixfold from January 2021 to January 2025, the economic conditions of the people have severely worsened in every aspect, including inflation, unemployment, poverty, and currency exchange rates.

Mrs. Rajavi added that on September 23, Khamenei said: “We began enrichment over 30 years ago… Since we don’t need weapons, we enriched up to 60%, which is a very high and very good level and necessary for some of our domestic needs… Dozens of prominent scientists and professors, hundreds of researchers, and thousands trained in nuclear groups are working actively. Of course, we’ve faced a lot of pressure, but we didn’t and won’t give in.”

This clearly shows that if it weren’t for the 133 revelations by the Iranian Resistance over the past 34 years — especially the exposure of the secret nuclear facilities in Natanz and Arak in August 2002 — the religious and terrorist dictatorship would now be armed with a nuclear bomb and would have presented the world with a fait accompli. And had there not been appeasement, there would have been no need for war. The real war from the beginning has been between religious fascism and the Iranian people, especially women.

Now, again, our message is that the final solution is regime change by the Iranian people, and the right to resist against the regime of terror and massacre must be recognized.

Mrs. Rajavi had said on July 14, 2015, after the JCPOA agreement: “If the P5+1 countries had shown firmness, the Iranian regime would have had no choice but to fully retreat and permanently abandon its efforts to acquire nuclear weapons — specifically, to stop all enrichment and completely shut down its bomb-making projects…”

More importantly, she added: “The cash funds poured into the regime’s pockets must be placed under strict UN control and used to meet the urgent needs of the Iranian people, especially the meager and unpaid wages of workers, teachers, and nurses, and to provide food and medicine for the masses.”
