US freezes assets of two Iran regime’s companies involved in nuclear programs

Nuclear site in IranIranian Resistance calls for similar measures against other companies linked to Iranian regime

NCRI – The US Government ordered American banks to freeze any accounts or other financial assets in the United States belonging to two companies linked to the clerical regime in Iran whose extensive role in the regime’s nuclear programs was previously revealed by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The US Treasury Department also prohibited US companies from doing business with the two companies. Activities of the two companies, Energy Novin and Energy Mesbah, were revealed by Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chair of the NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee, in a press conference in September 2004.
Energy Novin is active in the setup of the Arak heavy water nuclear reactor and its previous address was at the premises of Kala Electric Company. After revelations about Kala Electric by the Iranian Resistance, Energy Novin moved offices to Argentine Square, Zagros Street. Energy Mesbah is also involved in the same project in Arak and its offices are in Vali-Asr Square, opposite Mellat Park. The Arak reactor will produce plutonium that can be used in a nuclear bomb by 2007.
The Iranian Resistance calls for adoption of similar measures by relevant national and international bodies against scores of other companies who are involved in the Iranian regime’s nuclear projects.
