
Following 13 years of investigations, the General Assembly of the Interpol, in November 2007, issued Red Notices for former Intelligence Minister, Ali Fallahian; former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mohsen Rezai, the current Deputy Minister of Defence and former commander of the Qods force of the IRGC, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi; Mohsen Rabbani, former cultural attaché in the regime’s embassy in Argentina; and Ahmad Reza Asghari, third secretary in the regime’s embassy in Argentina. The Interpol’s Red Notice is considered as the most important warrant for arrest.
By resorting to various schemes including payment of heavy bribes to former officials in Argentina, the mullahs’ regime for years tried to mislead investigations to cover up its role in the bombing which left 85 dead and 300 wounded.
Based on the Iranian regime's own admission in recent days, its Ministry of Intelligence and Security spent enormous amount of time and energy over the years to clear its role in this crime. During the Interpol’s General Assembly session it tried to It even in the Interpol meeting, by a widespread lobbying, tried to prevent the arrest warrant against its officials.
The Iranian Resistance welcomes the call by the Argentine president and reiterates that officials of this regime should be face international tribunals for crimes committed against humanity and their role in more than 450 terrorist attacks worldwide.
The Iranian Resistance was amongst the first sources to confirm the Iranian regime's involvement in the bombings and only a few weeks after the incident, in August 1994, provided specific information, revealing the identity of those involved in the bombing. Now the Interpol has issued arrest warrants for their arrest.
