Senior regime officials are making troubling remarks about the coronavirus spread across Iran

The coronavirus outbreak has claimed the lives of 4,900 people across Iran as the virus continues to spread to more cities. After weeks of denial and secrecy, Iranian officials acknowledge that the situation has spun out of control.

“We are facing a strange and difficult coronavirus crisis. We should put aside our political difference. On the other hand, we are facing sanctions and low oil prices,” Gholamreza Mesbahi Moghadam, a member of the regime’s Expediency Council, an advisory board to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Seyed Hashem Bathaie Golpaygani, a member of the regime’s Assembly of Experts, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The regime is also preparing to counter potential protests as the public outrage over the regime’s mishandling of the situation continues to rise.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced this afternoon Saturday, March 14, that the number of Coronavirus victims in 175 cities across Iran is more than 4,500. The number of victims in Qom is at least 700 and in Tehran at least 650. In Gilan 577, in Mazandaran 350, in Isfahan 450, in Khorasan Razavi 427, in Khuzestan 144, in Kurdistan province 151, in Lorestan 138, in Qazvin 121, in Yazd 62, in Sistan and Baluchistan 48, and in Kerman 32 people have lost their lives for Coronavirus.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Sunday, March 15, 2020, marks the 122nd day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
