According to a report by Malaf Site, Samira Al-Shabli, advisor to Diyali governor, said that the communiqué issued by Spanish Senate is indicative of the victory of international efforts to find solutions to guarantee protection of Camp Ashraf residents.
After the approval of UNAMI’s presence in Iraq for one more year, it is the responsibility of UNAMI to assign independent international monitors in Camp Ashraf.
She emphasized the necessity of not using violence against the residents of Ashraf and added that the local government in the past had on several occasions called on security forces to treat the residents humanely and not to use violence against them.
