Iran: Sunni prisoners continue hunger strike in 7th week despite deteriorating health

Sunni political prisoners on hunger strike in Qezel-hessar Prison in Iran continue their protest despite serious health issues.

Two of the hunger strikers, Jamshid Dehghani and Kamal Mollaii are slowly losing their eyesight and are having blurred vision.

The six political prisoners have staged a hunger strike since November 4 to protest their death sentences as well as their transfer to a ward that a number of dangerous prisoners are being held.

The prisoner have declared that they shall continue with their hunger strike until their death sentences are revoked.

Nasiripour, the so-called prisons supervising judge, has threatened them with quicker execution if they continue with their hunger strike.
