• Pompeo Presses Europe To Get Tough On Iran

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday pressed European nations to get tough on Iran by cutting off all funding the country may use to foment instability in the Middle East and beyond.

Pompeo was meeting with European officials in Brussels following a summit of NATO leaders to make the case for clamping down on Iranian “terrorism and proxy wars.” He urged them to join a U.S.-led economic pressure campaign against Tehran that began in earnest after President Donald Trump withdrew from the landmark Iran nuclear deal in May.

• Argentina calls on Russia to arrest Khamenei advisor Ali Akbar Velayati

July 11, 2018 – An Argentine federal judge is asking Russia to arrest and extradite Ali Akbar Velyati, a senior advisor to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, according to the Revolutionary Guards-affiliated Fars news agency.

Arriving Wednesday, Velayati is in Moscow to discuss bilateral relations, Middle East developments and to meet with Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin.

Judge Rodolfo Canicoba Corral requested the arrest of Velayati following news reports covering the visit.

• Clashes Break Out During Protest To Removal Of Water Pumps From Well In Tall-E Kushk

On Thursday, July 12, 2018, a protest broke out in the Tall-e Kushk village, as Iran’s law enforcement officials assassinated one of the region’s residents, Iman Ahmadi, from the village of Jihadabad, who clashed with the security forces for taking out water from a well in Tall-e Kushk (15 km from Kazerun).

After committing this murder, the policemen closed the road in order to prevent anyone from seeing their crime. It is worth noting that two people were injured in this physical encounter.

• Second Protest of Dezful Municipality Green Space Workers In Iran

On Thursday, July 12, 2018, the Green Space workers of Dezful Municipality’s District 3 once again protested against the failure to receive their wage demands and gathered in front of the central municipality and governorate in Dezful, Iran,
One of the Dezful Municipality employees said: “About 100 municipality workers with more than 10 years of work experience have been credited with several months of unpaid salaries, benefits, rewards and New Years bonuses of 2016 and 2017, and the employer has not deposited more than seven months of their salaries to the social security fund.”
