Hassan Rouhani, the president of the clerical regime in Iran, meeting with speaker of Syrian Parliament vowed that his regime will “stand by the government and nation of Syria till the end.”
He threatened the Arab and Western governments of ‘going to be affected by the scourge of terrorism’ because of miscalculating in their backing for Syrian opposition as the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS gathered in Paris Tuesday.
“The plan of the enemies of Syria who thought they could dominate it within a few months has fallen apart,” official website Dolat.ir quoted him as saying.
“The government and nation of Iran will stand by the government and nation of Syria till the end.”
Syrian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Jihad al-Laham said in a press conference in Tehran: “In this war we rely on” our friends “with the Islamic Republic of Iran standing at the top of them.”
Since the beginning of popular uprising in Syria, the Iranian regime has provided arms, military advisers and financial support to the Syrian dictator Bashar Al-Assad in its battle against the Syrian people.
