The Power Transfer in the U.S. And the Fearful Reaction of the Iran Regime

NCRI – Donald Trump has stressed that all options are considered in order to defy the Iranian regime as well as its destabilizing measures in the region. Meanwhile, the state-run broadcasting attempted to ignore the difference between before and after of Obama’s presidency.

The state-run TV channel announced that the U.S. President said Obama’s words that no option has been eliminated with respect to Iran.

Reuters reported that the U.S. government has imposed new sanctions on 25 Iranian companies just today.

The Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani in his speech referred to the consequences of the power transfer in the U.S. as well as the rise of a new president in this country. He stated: “Trump was in a different world and he came to the world of politics now. This atmosphere is completely new to him. It takes time until he and his assistants understand what is going on in the world and what things should be done. He will harm himself and possibly others as well.”

Following Rouhani’s speech, the Head of Hudson Institute said to the Voice of America News (VOA News):”Rouhani attributed naivety to Trump though he is not that kind of person at all. I think Rouhani will realize that Trump is not the person to believe strategic patience. He will definitely react upon issues. Donald Trump is not Barack Obama who believed in the strategic patience. So, it’s time for the Islamic Republic of Iran to reconsider its aggressive behavior and violence in the region as well as militancy in its nuclear program.”

Michael Flynn’s statement represents a great and blatant change in the U.S. policy towards Iran. This is the first and biggest change of U.S. policy towards Iran and the nuclear deal.”

Trump’s Advisor for Western Asian Affairs, Walid Fares said to Fox News:” Flynn’s message says that the U.S. follows the policy of monitoring the Iranian regime; consulting with its allies and partners in the region. This is the beginning of a new policy, not the end of it. Flynn’s statement was very important for Trump’s government in order to show that the U.S. policy towards the Mullahs’ regime has changed.”

The Head of the Institute for the War Studies also contended: “as Gen. Flynn has warned U.S., we will finally prosecute the Iranian regime for its horrible policy that has been carried out since the early 90s.”

U.S. Military Commander, Colonel Francona have spent years in Iraq. In an interview with CNN News, he stated: “we will tell the Iranian regime that we cannot tolerate much. If we witness further actions in the Red Sea, we will probably respond with direct military measures. We will probably act similarly in the Gulf as well.”

The Associated Press News wrote an analytical report: “by giving the Iranian regime a warning notice, the new U.S. government will prepare a new confrontational policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. Anyone could guess the meaning of such words in action.”
