
The director general of Iran’s Central Insurance Company, Hemmati said: "The AON shareholders have decided to cut off all trade ties with Iran and they are no longer able to cooperate with Iran’s central Insurance Co."
The Heritage Institute for Studies in the United States characterized Iran as one of the worst countries in attracting foreign investments. The institute in its 2006 report gave Iran a 5 point grade in a one-to-five mark investment index. The only four other countries which have been categorized as the worst investment partners are North Korea, Burma, Zimbabwe and Venezuela.
