On Thursday, July 7, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance entered a new phase in their struggle against the disgraceful agreement between the Belgian government and the Iranian regime.

On Wednesday, the Foreign Relations Committee of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives voted in favor of a shameful treaty with the Iranian regime after two days of heated debate with government authorities. The bill will be put to a final vote in the parliament on Thursday, July 14.

Homelessness Among Iranian Women, Poverty, and Violence Against Women

The leading cause of homelessness among Iranian women is poverty and systematic violence against women under the misogynist mullahs’ regime. Poverty, in general, means a precarious livelihood. Hunger, malnutrition, limited access to education, lack of access to health services, and the lack of participation in decision-making are all consequences of poverty. Mohammad Hassan Asafari, a parliamentary Councils and Internal Affairs Commission member, said that about nine million Iranian households live below the poverty line (The state-run Khabaronline.ir – May 6, 2022).

Hijab Inspection Teams Deployed in Mashhad Hospitals

Mashhad University of Medical Sciences confirmed that the teams of ”Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice” started their activities in hospitals to control the compulsory hijab. In a statement on Thursday Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said by the decision of the headquarters of Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, special teams “have been deployed in Mashhad medical centers” to “evaluate and inspect the personnel and students’ hijab.”
