Sanctioning Facilitators of Iran Sanctions Circumvention and Political Oppression
Today, the United States is designating 18 entities and individuals facilitating the Islamic Republic of Iran’s evasion of U.S. sanctions and continued repression of the Iranian people. Targets include financial and information technology (IT) firms, including one company that has enabled Iran’s security services to restrict ordinary Iranians’ internet access.
The United States will continue to deny Iran access to the international financial system as long as the regime persists in its destabilizing activities in the Middle East and around the world. We will use all available tools to combat Iran’s attempts to circumvent sanctions and repatriate illicit foreign revenue.
We emphasize that all transactions with sanctioned entities, including Iranian financial institutions, bring exposure to significant sanctions risks. The United States promotes accountability for those who seek to undermine international peace and security as well as human rights.

URGENT: Iranian Regime About to Execute 5 Political Prisoners
However, five death row political prisoners—Vahid Bani-Amarian, Pouya Ghobadi, Shahrokh Daneshvarkar, Mohammad Taghavi, and Babak Alipour—were violently separated from other prisoners and taken to an unknown location. Reportedly, they have been transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison, where executions are carried out.
These prisoners were sentenced to death in December 2024 by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Iman Afshari, on charges of “membership in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)”, “assembly and collusion against national security”, and “armed rebellion against the state.”

Foiling the Smuggling of Advanced Military Equipment Shipment to the Houthis at Aden Port
The Counter-Terrorism Agency in Yemen announced the foiling of an attempt to smuggle a shipment of drones and weapon spare parts that were headed to the Houthi group. The authorities managed to seize the suspicious containers aboard a commercial ship that arrived at Aden Port from China, after it changed its course from Hodeidah Port, which is under Houthi control, following recent Israeli shelling of the port.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the operation was carried out in coordination with the Attorney General and the Free Zone Security at the port, where drones, radio devices, advanced electronic control units, and various military equipment were found inside the containers.
The inspection operation took place on August 2nd, with the participation of teams from customs and Free Zone police, and under the supervision of the specialized prosecution, which initiated an urgent investigation into the case.
‘Network’ of Tunnels, Hundreds of Weapons Found by UNIFIL and Lebanese Army in Naqoura
The French army and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said Thursday that peacekeepers and the Lebanese Army uncovered a network of Hezbollah tunnels and weapons in the South.
UNIFIL spokesman Andrea Tenenti said the discovery was made during routine operations under U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701, in coordination with the Lebanese Army. He described it as “a vast network of fortified tunnels” near the villages of Tayr Harfa, Zibqine and Naqoura, containing shelters, artillery pieces, rocket launchers, hundreds of missiles and rockets, anti-tank mines and other explosives.
Iran’s Ayatollah ‘Sanctions Assassination of Donald Trump’ As WW3 Fears Explode
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has sanctioned the execution of Donald Trump, dissidents with access to leaked internal documents said today. The Islamic dictator’s website even has a video showing a remotely controlled gun targeting the US President. The shock revelations came at a press conference hosted by the Washington Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), where NCRI Deputy Director Alireza Jafarzadeh demanded the immediate closure of Iran’s Embassy in London, which is close to Albert Hall and its Consular Section in nearby Kensington Court, South Kensington.
Jafarzadeh said nothing terror-related happened in or outside of Iran without the explicit sanctioning of the Ayatollah and added: “In July, a senior cleric, Ahmad Khatami, called for the execution of Donald Trump at Friday prayers. He did not decide that off the cuff, those Friday prayers are very carefully scripted, everything those prayer leaders say is the policy of the office of the Supreme Leader – the order has come from there.”
NCRI Unveils Iranian Terrorism, Calls for Increased Sanctions
Deputy Director Alireza Jafarzadeh represents the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Washington, D.C. Aligned with MEK, the NCRI identifies itself as “the Iranian people’s Parliament-in-Exile and Legislative assembly.”
The council advocates for a regime change based on a 10-point plan that prioritizes gender equality, free speech, and separation of church and state.
“Certainly, you can see the sign of desperation of the Iran regime, no doubt about it,” said Jafarzadeh. “They’ve relied on the repression inside the country as a way of holding the population. That has not worked. They have had several rounds of major uprisings in Iran since 2018, and the vast majority of the population are opposed to this regime.”

The recent surge in executions is not merely a continuation of its brutal policies but a horrifying echo of the regime’s darkest chapter—the 1988 massacre—and a clear signal that it is preparing for another slaughter of political prisoners.

Iran’s Deepening Crisis: Expanding Bureaucracy, Shrinking Livelihoods
A multi-layered crisis is paralyzing Iran’s economy and society, as bloated institutions expand while citizens face mass unemployment and rising poverty.
Iran is not merely experiencing an economic downturn—it is confronting what experts describe as a “layered and interdependent crisis.” In a striking interview with Shargh newspaper, regime-affiliated economist Hossein Raghfar warned that the Iranian regime is now in its most fragile state in decades. “We are not facing a simple crisis,” he said. “This is a crisis nested within other crises—each one reinforcing and amplifying the others.”
Crisis at the Core: Shifting Power, Strategic Confusion, and Growing Public Distrust in Iran
After the 12-day war, Iran’s leadership faces growing cracks in the political structure, a faltering diplomatic strategy, and increasing public disillusionment, revealing a system under deep internal strain.
The political landscape in Iran has entered a phase of turbulence following the 12-day conflict, with evidence of both internal dissent and ideological disarray. While hardline outlets like Keyhan insist that the war is ongoing—portraying it as a hybrid battle that includes information warfare and global conspiracy—other voices warn that the regime is dangerously detached from both global realities and the demands of its own people.
The Fabricated Enemy: How the Iranian Regime Manufactures Fear to Maintain Power
From ideological purges to external scapegoating, Tehran’s survival hinges on a perpetual state of threat—real or imagined. Sometimes, nothing is more vital to a regime’s survival than the presence of an enemy. Whether real or fictional, the point is not authenticity—but fear. If people are afraid, if they believe there is a looming threat, then the regime has what it needs: a tool to suppress, deceive, and retain power.
Throughout history, many governments have depended on enemies to define themselves. To maintain their legitimacy, these regimes constantly pointed fingers outward, at forces allegedly conspiring to destroy the nation. These enemies—sometimes real, often imaginary—were invoked so frequently that eventually, even the regime itself believed in them.
Iran Accelerates Political Executions as Global Outcry Grows
Wave of executions, including political prisoners, sparks international condemnation and warnings of a repeat of the 1988 massacre. In a disturbing escalation of state violence, the Iranian regime has dramatically increased its use of executions in recent days, drawing sharp condemnation from international observers, legal experts, and political leaders across Europe. Between August 3 and 6, at least 29 prisoners were executed across Iran, according to the Iranian Resistance. Among them were Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, both identified as political prisoners and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The Resistance accused Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of accelerating a brutal and merciless killing machine and called on the United Nations to act immediately to stop the executions.
