The repressive measures are not limited to the university campuses and schools. The Iranian regime’s state security forces and Basij paramilitary forces have been involved in various activities to create fear and terror.
Members of Basij have marched into the streets on motorbikes with military uniforms chanting slogans against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
In one such a case, on Wednesday morning, September 25, some 50 motor riders of Basij paramilitary force marched through some main streets in Tehran chanting “Down with Monafeghin.” Monfeghin is the derogatory term used by the regime to refer to the PMOI.
In the past few days, in many cities across Iran activists supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organizations of Iran (PMOI/MEK) distributed posters and leaflets condemning the Iranian regime and expressing their support for Mrs Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance.
In Tehran, the leaflets were distributed and posted in areas close to universities and schools on the occasion of start of new academic year in Iran. These areas are highly controlled by the Iranian regime’s repressive forces to prevent any anti-regime activities.
Videos of some of these activities has been distributed in the internet.
