NCRI – The deputy commander of the Iranian regime’s suppressive State Security Forces (SSF) warned on Sunday about a possible resurgence of uprisings against the clerical regime, saying, “There are some who are looking to trigger fresh acts of sedition after the implementation of the subsidies law.”
Ahmad Reza Radan added, “But this group of individuals must know that the police is firmly standing on the side of the government.”
Several days earlier, the SSF’s commander, Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam, had also expressed fears that, “There are some who want to use economic pressures to bring about riots, chaos, unrest and civil disobedience.”
Meanwhile, the commander of the regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Hamedani, described popular uprisings against the regime over the past year as an “ambush” for the regime. “My prediction is that we will face more challenging ambushes down the road,” Hamedani said.
