Iran: SSF deputy commander warns about more uprisings

RadanNCRI – The deputy commander of the Iranian regime’s suppressive State Security Forces (SSF) warned ‎on Sunday about a possible resurgence of uprisings against the clerical regime, saying, “There are ‎some who are looking to trigger fresh acts of sedition after the implementation of the subsidies law.”‎

Ahmad Reza Radan added, “But this group of individuals must know that the police is firmly standing ‎on the side of the government.”‎

Several days earlier, the SSF’s commander, Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam, had also expressed fears that, ‎‎“There are some who want to use economic pressures to bring about riots, chaos, unrest and civil ‎disobedience.”‎

Meanwhile, the commander of the regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein ‎Hamedani, described popular uprisings against the regime over the past year as an “ambush” for the ‎regime. “My prediction is that we will face more challenging ambushes down the road,” Hamedani ‎said.‎
